LIVING IN FULHAM
Why live in Fulham?
Fulham is one of London’s most sought-after residential areas. Situated in beautiful South West London, the area offers many green spaces including South Park, Parsons Green, Hurlingham and Eel Brook Common whilst being within easy reach of Central London. Commuters and families benefit from the transport links both into and out of London whilst the area retains a friendly village atmosphere.
Fulham has an eclectic feel with a strong European presence and residents include families and young professionals, with a healthy quota of bars and restaurants as well as independent local stores, such as Elizabeth King delicatessen. The excellent choice of local schools, such as Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, Fulham Prep and Thomas’s, has raised the profile of the area and made it a popular choice with people migrating from Chelsea looking for more space.
More recently, the Riverside developments of Imperial Wharf and Regent On The River have offered a different style of living along the attractive river front.

History of Fulham
Fulham is now one of the most affluent and residential areas in Central London but during the 18th century had a reputation of debauchery, becoming a sort of "Las Vegas retreat" for the wealthy of London, where there was much gambling and prostitution.
Fulham remained a working class area for the first half of the Twentieth century but was subject to extensive restoration between the Second World War and the 1980s. Now it is a home to The River Café, Craven Cottage FC, Stamford Bridge FC and The Hurlingham Club.
